WPS Jerseys Unveiled Tonight

It's Fashion Week in New York City, and, for the first time in my life, I'm paying attention.

Why? Because tonight will be our first look at the home and away kits for the seven WPS teams. Images will be posted below the jump as soon as I see them. Let's hope that they're not as hideous as the MLS unveiling in 1996.

Sol Sign Three; Chicago, FC Gold Pride Announce Non-Roster Invitees

The Los Angeles Sol have signed Camile Abily, Han Duan, and Johanna Frisk (pictured), joining Marta and Aya Miyama to fill out LA's five international slots. Also, the Chicago Red Stars and FC Gold Pride have released their list of players culled from their tryouts that will attend training camp.

WPS has come to terms with the United States Women's National Team on the format for player contracts, Sports Business Journal reports today.

Wednesday Morning News and Notes

FC Gold Pride signed Formiga to a one-year deal with two one-year player options.

Boston inked England international Alex Scott yesterday. Scott is Boston's second foreign signing, joining Canadian Christine Latham.

The league schedule will be announced tomorrow, Steven Goff reports. Goff also reports that D.C. United and the Freedom will play at least one doubleheader at RFK Stadium.

Also, the LA Times reports that Japanese star Aya Miyama's signing will be announced today by the team.



Red Stars Add Pair of Swedes

The Chicago Red Stars doubled their international players ledger today, inking Swedish standouts Frida Ostberg and Caroline Jonsson.

While many teams in the league have only signed one or even zero internationals officially, Chicago now has four of their five: Ostberg, Jonsson, Karen Carney, and Heather Garriock.

Matilda Mid Waltzing to Windy City

The Chicago Red Stars have officially signed Australian international Heather Garriock the team announced today.

She's the second Red Star international to sign, joining England international Karen Carney.

Carney to Chicago Official

The Chicago Red Stars have officially signed rising English star Karen Carney, the team announced today.

The 21-year old forward, who makes the move from Arsenal Ladies F.C., has already been capped 41 times by her country and has scored six goals.

Austrian Club Confirms Rosana Move

SV Neulengbach officials have confirmed that Brazil international Rosana will leave the Austrian champions to sign with Sky Blue FC.

Also, it looks like England internationals Kelly Smith and Alex Scott may have tipped their hand on their WPS intentions.
